This powerful corporate documentary showcased the critical role of local insurance brokers during one of the most devastating bushfire events in the region's history. The project required us to sensitively capture the enduring relationships that help communities rebuild.
Client: WFI
Genre: Corporate Documentary
On-Location Production
We traveled to Narrogin, three hours from Perth, approximately two months after the devastating fires had swept through the area. This timing was crucial, allowing the immediate trauma to settle while capturing the raw reality of the recovery process and the ongoing impact on farming families like Daryl and Linda's.
Authentic Storytelling
The production focused on documenting the genuine relationship between local broker Mark and his clients, demonstrating how insurance partnerships extend far beyond policy transactions. We captured moments that revealed the personal connections and community support that define rural insurance relationships.
Sensitive Approach
Filming in the aftermath of such devastation required careful consideration of the emotional impact on those affected. Our approach balanced the need to tell a compelling story with respect for the trauma experienced by the farming community, particularly around the loss of livestock and property.
The final video powerfully illustrates how local brokers become integral parts of rural communities, providing not just professional services but genuine care and support during crisis situations. The story of "cheese and wine and all the necessities" demonstrates the human side of insurance relationships.
This project exemplifies our ability to handle sensitive subject matter while creating authentic content that showcases the vital role of local business relationships in rural Australian communities.
